Adobe and Macromedia

You may have heard me whining about Adobe (creator of the infernal PDF format who’s only really good product is Photoshop) buying Macromedia (creator of flash and other web/publishing-friendly products) the other day (if you haven’t, trust me, I whined).
Daring Fireball’s put together an easy to understand FAQ about the buy that attempts to answer questions about what will happen to products of both companies. Might be worth a read, since both product lines factor into the future of … every … web site.
The buy really is saddening, but there’s humor in everything.
Cheap Gas

I like saving money on gas.
I like supporting the local economy, since this guy’s not far from me.
I also like that it’s an adaptable system. When/if gas prices ever go down again, you can use it for other things.
